Food review: Knuckles
Address: 212 Hougang Street 21, #01-33, Singapore 530212
(Nearest train station: Kovan)
After being introduced to this place in the heartlands by a friend, I was instantly bought over. The cheap drinks and decent western food, coupled with  no GST and service charge makes it even more attractive. A good place to hang out with some friends over some drinks, without having to take the MRT to town and crowding with other people at a bar.
Beer at $10 a pint, $25 for 5 bottles. You can choose from Benedik, Erdinger, Kilkenny etc.
The main course is around $8-10, I had chicken chop with fries while my friend had the pork knuckle. Both were delicious and reminded me of Aston’s style.
Next door, there is the popular Thai food Nakhon or the Japanese restaurant Tachinomiya, offering you a variety of affordable eats in the Kovan neighbourhood.
Overall, it is a worthy place to check in if you’re staying in the northeast area.
