What did I do for 2015? So I did fulfill my new year resolution of traveling more and making sense of the world we live in. This has been an epic year of thesis submission, graduation, pedagogical training and lots of crazy traveling.

most unique experience – sleeping in a Mongolian ger (yurt) in the countryside and living sustainably

happiest moment – that feeling of achievement when I step foot on the 7th continent Antarctica

scariest moment – encounter with corrupt border guard who threatened to cut off my ears while crossing from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan

most foolish moment – jumping into the freezing cold waters of the southern ocean for 5 sec

most tiring moment – trekking Torres del Paine for 3.5 days, sleeping very little and walking on average 10 hours a day

most zen feeling – watching the sunrise over Bagan

coolest moment – swimming with whale sharks in Oslob

Jan – Myanmar
Feb – Japan
Mar – Malaysia (Tioman)
Apr – Philippines
May – China, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan
Jun – Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, Hong Kong
Aug – Indonesia (Surabaya, Bromo, Ijen)
Sep – Thailand (Bangkok)
Nov – Thailand (Krabi)
Dec – London, Paris, Argentina, Antarctica, Chile

plans for 2016?
Jan – Spain, Netherlands
Mar – Indonesia (Jakarta)
Jun – India?

I would like to add more destinations for 2016, but unfortunately I would start work and would be quite restricted to traveling for a shorter period of time during the allocated school holidays.
